Design and Feasibility
We visit your Chelmsford property, look at slopes, drainage, trees, access and setbacks, and confirm the project can be built within local rules.
Your Trusted Project Partner
Mountainscapes designs and builds swimming pools and outdoor living spaces for homeowners in Chelmsford, from North Chelmsford to the neighborhoods around the town center. Many Chelmsford yards have mature trees, sloping lots or older drainage that needs attention before anything new goes in. We plan the grading, the pool and the landscape together, help you through the town permitting process and build the whole project with one team. And if you only need one thing fixed, like a tired pool liner or a wet corner of the yard, we are glad to help with that too.
Some Chelmsford projects start with a pool, others with a failing patio or a soggy backyard. Either way, we design the whole space so the pool, patio, plantings and drainage work together. Designing it all at once avoids digging up a new lawn later to run a drain line or a gas line.
Custom inground pools in gunite, fiberglass or vinyl liner, designed for your yard and budget.
New custom-fit vinyl liners for existing pools, with floor and wall repairs included.
Updated coping, decking, tile and equipment for older Chelmsford pools that need a refresh.
Seasonal care, openings and closings to keep your pool clean and protected through winter.
Planting plans, lawns and garden beds designed to suit Chelmsford lots and how you use the yard.
Paver and stone patios, walkways, steps and seating walls built to handle New England freeze and thaw.
French drains, dry wells and regrading for yards with standing water or wet basements.
Leveling and shaping sloped lots so pools, patios and lawns sit on stable, well-drained ground.
It only takes 30 seconds.

Chris installed a beautiful gunite pool for me. My kids love it and they cherish the day it gets opened. Chris did an amazing job designing the layout. He is a true artisan. I’ve been in business for 37 years and I’ve been around countless contractors. I highly recommend Mountainscapes.
I had the need for an emergency skimmer replacement during a pool deck replacement. Mountainscapes was the only company that got back to me and came right out and fixed things up to keep my project on schedule. Chris and his team were top notch. Highly recommended.
I have engaged Chris and his team on a number of landscape projects over the years. The pricing is good, the end result gorgeous, and Chris is always a pleasure to work with.
My experience having a pool installed was a great one! The owner Chris, worked with me to get exactly what I wanted. The team was friendly and very professional. I would highly recommend them!
Working with Chris and his team from MountainScapes was truly a pleasure building our pool this past year. Chris was a huge help working with the town on permitting and approvals (our town is notoriously difficult) and in helping us make our design dreams a reality.
...Today, one year post-completion, we are thrilled with the quality of MountainScapes' work. Chris, in particular, is something of a pool artist. It was truly worth it, but as homeowners you need to be prepared to be patient!
If you are considering an inground pool or any type of hardscape to your property, I would not recommend anyone other than Mountainscapes! Responsiveness, quality, professionalism!

Does Mountainscapes build pools in Chelmsford, MA?
Yes. We design and build gunite, fiberglass and vinyl liner pools in Chelmsford and manage the project from design and permitting through construction and final landscaping. See our pool construction services for more detail.
How much does a pool and landscape project cost in Chelmsford?
Cost depends on pool type, size, site conditions and how much patio, planting and drainage work is included. Most of our full projects range from $50,000 to $150,000. Smaller jobs such as liner replacements or drainage repairs cost far less.
Do I need a permit to build a pool in Chelmsford?
Yes. An inground pool needs a building permit from the town, and pools must meet state barrier and fencing rules. If your lot is near wetlands, the Chelmsford Conservation Commission may also need to review the work. We help you through each step.
Do you offer landscaping in Chelmsford without a pool?
Yes. Landscape work makes up about half of what we do. We handle landscape design, patios, walls, lawns, planting, lighting and drainage for Chelmsford homes, from a single drainage fix to a complete backyard makeover.
When is the best time to start a project in Chelmsford?
Spring and fall are our busiest seasons, so planning over the winter gives time for design and permits. That way construction can start as soon as the ground allows, and your pool or patio is ready for summer.
From initial planning and design to engineering, permitting, and construction, we manage every stage of your pool and landscape project with precision and care.
